Last House in Punta Chueca - 2005 - 36" x 24" acrylic gouache on panel
A portrait of a Seri indian man I encountered while camping and kayaking
on the wild seacoast of Sonora, Mexico. He jumped right in front of my truck, crazy
with hunger and sorrow. The friend who was with me knew him, and told me his story.
He had lost all his family to the Sea. Now he wandered in the desert and often
forgot to eat.
